Botetourt County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) recently announced it is holding a Therapy & Camp Fair in the cafeteria at Lord Botetourt High School on March 2 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Therapy & Camp Fair is an opportunity for students with special needs and their families to learn about the numerous therapies, camps, sports, and other activities available to them in the region. A wide variety of vendors will attend the fair, which include: Occupational, Speech, & Physical Therapy services, Music Therapy, an All Needs Scout Troop, ABA & Behavioral Therapists, Student Camps (day and overnight), Family Camps, Special Olympics, residential services, employment/job coaching for students who will be graduating, and equine (horse) therapy and a therapy dog.
“Our region is very fortunate to have so many wonderful programs close by,” SEAC member Courtney Parker said in a recent email. “We wanted to give students and families the chance to meet many of these providers in person, and have a fun evening. Many providers are bringing engaging activities and light refreshments will be provided.”
The Therapy & Camp Fair is open to all families and schools in the surrounding areas and counties.
