VFW Post 1841 in Daleville sponsors essay contests each year for middle and high school students.
The recent post winners are (left to right) are Lincoln Kellerman, first place for middle school; Silas Whitson, first place for high school and second place at the District level); Drew Whitson, second place for high school; and Tim Wilson, third place for high school.
