A Stuart man was airlifted following an alleged stabbing incident on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
The alleged incident occurred at 405 E. Blue Ridge Street, Stuart, at approximately 6:05 p.m., according to Sheriff Dan Smith.
In a release, Smith alleged that Ashley Dayton, 31, of Stuart, arrived at the home that was occupied by Patrick Russell, 44, and others.
An argument ensued that led to a physical confrontation, Smith said. One person produced a knife; another suffered an injury in the shoulder blade, the sheriff said.
Russell’s vehicle was commandeered, and a woman allegedly fled before law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, Smith wrote in the release.
She was found at Cedar Square Apartments about 15 minutes later and arrested, Smith said.
Dayton is being held without bond in the Patrick County Jail on charges of malicious wounding and grand larceny.
Russell is currently in stable condition at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.
