The Sirens & Salutes, Inc. 2022 Fallen Heroes Tree is now on display inside Hotel Roanoke.
Sirens & Salutes received inquiries from some families of loved ones whose star hangs on the tree but there are many more out there. Each star has the name of a LEO, FF, K-9, or 9-11 first responder, and military member who died in the line of duty across the country this year.
The tree in Roanoke is one of two Christmas tree decorated by the organization. The other tree can be seen standing in front of the Buchanan Volunteer Fire Station on Main Street.
“We want to make sure these Heroes are remembered this holiday season,” a recent Sirens & Salutes Facebook post stated. “It’s our honor to have two of these trees displayed this year.”
