Jerry Jacobsen, commander of VFW Post 1841, Daleville, recently presented a “Community Service Award” to Heather Chocklett, manager of Mission BBQ in Roanoke. This award represents recognition to Mission BBQ and their continuing commitment in recognizing veterans with discounts on their meals and to veterans for their overall service to their community and country.
