In the next couple of weeks, the Virginia Department of Elections (VDOE) will mail updated voter notices to all registered voters in Virginia. The notifications will show all changes to a voter’s record due to redistricting and whether that would be a change in the district numbers or changes in precincts and polling locations. This notice is for all registered voters regardless of their locality. It will be folded to conceal the voter’s personal information on the inside and will be postcard size.
The Botetourt County Registrar’s Office wants county residents to be on the lookout for these notices as they are coming to mailboxes directly from VDOE. Do not throw these away. These will be the only notice of changes voters will receive. The notifications are mailed out so voters avoid going to the wrong precinct to vote on Election Day. These changes will be in effect for the November 8 General Election.
Early voting begins Friday, September 23 at the Botetourt County Registrar’s Office.
