Patrick County High School’s Varsity Volleyball Team suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday, September 6.
The Lady Cougars played unbeaten Tunstall and lost in straight sets 25-27, 12-25, and 22-25. Lilly Byers had 5 aces, 16 assists, and 8 digs. Samantha Harris had 4 aces, 20 digs, and 2 kills. Madi Heath added 6 kills, and Journey Moore had 25 digs.
PCHS won in straight sets, September 7, against North Stokes with scores of 27-25, 28-26, and 25-20. Harris had 15 kills, 12 digs, and 2 aces. Marissa Bentley and Heath had 7 kills each. Kaylee Towler had 6 aces and 12 digs. Byers had 32 assists and Moore added 20 digs.
The Lady Cougars ended their week, September 8, with a win over GW Danville in straight sets with scores of 25-6, 25-10, and 25-10. PC is 7-1 on the season.
