CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Get ready for a building boom around CAMC General in Charleston.
Vandalia Health announced Tuesday the construction of a $25 million Neuroscience Institute to expand neurological capabilities for patients in Charleston. In a separate project, a new rehabilitation hospital is in the planning stages, as well.
At a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday in a parking lot across Morris Street in downtown Charleston from CAMC General — which is operated by Vandalia Health — officials detailed that the three-story, 30,000-square-foot Neuroscience Center will combine under one roof health services such as on-site testing and comprehensive neurological care.
The new facility, to be located on the northeast corner of Washington Street West and Morris Street, is expected to be completed by fall 2027.
