HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball teams hosted Tygarts Valley on Monday February 6th. In the JV game the Lady Wildcats JV team fell 16-14. Madison Carr and Amesley Channell had 4 points each for the Tucker Valley JV in the loss. In the varsity game Tucker Valley fell by the score of 39-24. Peyton Hicks led Tucker Valley with 11 points and Emma Wilfong had 8 points in the loss for the Lady Wildcats.
PHILIPPI – The Tucker Valley Boys’ Basketball teams traveled to Philippi for a JV and Varsity matchup on Wednesday February 8th. In the first game of the night the Wildcats JV team lost 37-28. Branson Hyre led the Tucker Valley JV with 10 points and Isaiah Leary added 4 points for the Wildcats JV in the loss. In the varsity game Tucker Valley fell in overtime by the score of 48-46. Luke Barb led the Wildcats with 20 points and Nate Davis added 10 points in the loss for Tucker Valley.
HAMBLETON – The Lady Wildcat Basketball teams hosted Philippi on Wednesday February 8th. In the JV game the Tucker Valley JV fell by the score of 24-7. Madison Carr led the Lady Wildcat JV with 4 points and Amesley Channell added 3 points for the Tucker Valley JV in the loss. In the second game the Tucker Valley varsity team dropped the contest to Philippi by the score of 25-20. Emma Wilfong led Tucker Valley with 10 points. Peyton Hicks and Madelynn Helmick added 4 points each in the loss for the Lady Wildcats.
HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams played Davis-Thomas at TCHS on Saturday February 11th. In the first game of the afternoon the Lady Wildcats got the win over the Lady Bears 30-22. Emma Wilfong led Tucker Valley with 14 points and Peyton Hicks added 8 points for the Lady Wildcats in the victory.
In the second game the Tucker Valley Boys’ faced off against Davis-Thomas. The Bears would get the win over the Wildcats by the final score of 34-25. Luke Barb led Tucker Valley with 11 points and Ethan Cummings added 7 points in the loss for the Wildcats.
The Tucker Valley Girls’ and Boys’ will return to action tonight, Wednesday February 15th at home against East Preston. The Boys’ team will then travel to Elkins on Thursday February 16th. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
