The Patrick County Board of Supervisors scheduled a special called meeting on Wednesday, Mach 29 to discuss the interim county administrator and hold a public hearing on the proposed real estate tax rate.
The public hearing begins at 6 p.m. in the third-floor courtroom of the Patrick County Veteran’s Memorial Building, located at 106 Rucker Street in Stuart.
The proposed tax rate will not exceed $.73 per $100 of assessed value for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, which is the same as the current year.
The board is expected to set the tax rate following the hearing, and potentially discuss the upcoming budget
The board also will meet in closed session to discuss personnel and contract matters related to the appointment of an Interim County Administrator.
