The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department is pleased to welcome two new members to our department.
Shane Hunter Peacock and Kaleb Lee Helmick took their oath of office on Wednesday, Oct. 12. Their oaths were administered by Chief Circuit Judge Jennifer P. Dent.
Prior to his enlistment with the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, Shane served the citizens of Pocahontas County as a deputy sheriff. After completion of an abbreviated field officer training program, he will be ready to assume his duties in Greenbrier County. Shane is anxious to begin serving the citizenry of Greenbrier County as a deputy sheriff.
Kaleb is a lifelong resident of Greenbrier County and is also eager to begin his new career. Although he will not be working independently until his graduation from the State Police Academy and completion of his field officer training program, we expect that he will be a tremendous asset to our department and the county.
Sheriff Sloan commented, “We are pleased that these two young men have chosen careers in public service, and they will be doing so with our agency. We appreciate the commitment they are making to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, the citizens of Greenbrier County and the law enforcement profession.”
