The Patrick County High School (OCHS) Cougars Varsity Football Team hosted the Bassett High School Bengals Friday night and lost 50-14 in the district contest.
Offensively, the Cougars were led by QB Triston Underwood who went 6 for 16 passing for 242 yards, 2 touchdowns and one interception.
Jai Penn led all receivers with 208 yards on 5 catches with 2 touchdowns. Demontez Hill had 1 catch for 24 yards and Peyton Cambron with 1 catch for 10 yards.
The Cougars were led on the ground by Aden Penn who had 9 carries for 62 yards. Jermaine Penn had 8 carries for 60 yards. Hill had 11 carries for 51 yards. Triston Underwood added 2 carries for 5 yards and a 2-point conversion.
The Cougars defensive efforts were led by Peyton Cambron and Sam Hubbard who each recorded 8 tackles and 1 tackle for loss. Jermaine Penn, Stephen Spencer, and Matt Allen all recorded 5 tackles. Peyton Stovall, Jay Howard, and Hill each added 4 tackles each.
