Lewisburg-Paul Cooper, Jr., 87, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at his home in Lewisburg.
Born July 20, 1935, at Helen, WV, he is a son of the late Paul Cooper, Sr. and the late Pansy Gertrude White Cooper.
Paul was a retired IRS Agent, was a member of Ronceverte Christian Church where he served as both an Elder and Chairman of the Board; loved playing the guitar, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He was a US Army Veteran and was a graduate of Concord College.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Betty and brother, Edwin Dale Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Judith A. Cooper and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on Nov. 24, 2022; two sons, Jeffrey S. Cooper and wife Annmarie Cooper of Richmond, VA, and Kevin L. Cooper and wife Dawn A. Cooper of Brown Summit, NC; and four grandchildren, Emma P. Cooper, Ashley N. Cooper, Lily G. Cooper and Erin M. Cooper.
Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with Clifford Stone officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton with Rick Mathena officiating.
