Grand jurors handed down a total of 34 indictments on Sept. 9, according to records in the Patrick County Court Clerk’s Office.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but a grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists to warrant a trial.
Those named in the indictments are:
*Jonathan Jarrell, 25, of Patrick Springs, one count each indecent liberties and aggravated sexual battery, March 1 – March 21.
*John Ewell Scott, II, 35, of Claudville, violate protective order, Feb. 4.
*William Daniel Fitzgerald, 31, of Stuart, malicious wounding, March 17.
*William Jefferson Philpott, Jr., 49, of Bassett, one count each conspiracy to commit armed burglary and possess burglary tools, Oct. 5, 2021.
*Dianna Carol Spencer, 56, of Bassett, one count each conspiracy to commit armed burglary and possess burglary tools, Oct. 5, 2021.
*Donna Lynn Goins, 51, of Stuart, possess Schedule I or II drugs, May 29, 2021.
*Damien Charles, 18, of Stuart, threat to kill in writing, Feb. 3.
*Cory Ralph Arrington, 32, of Mount Airy, N.C., burglary of occupied dwelling, June 19.
*Jason Foley Iroler, 46, of Claudville, possess with intent to distribute Schedule I or II drugs- second offense, March 1.
*Johnny Miranda, 24, of Morrow, GA, possess with intent to distribute Schedule I or II drugs, March 2.
*Joshua David Sawyers, 38, of Mount Airy, N.C., possess firearm by convicted violent felon, March 2.
*Bridgette Dawn Estep, 36, of Bassett, one count each grand larceny and burglary, Sept. 17, 2021.
*Amanda Christine Vessell, 38, of Stuart, two counts assault and battery on law enforcement officer, April 7.
*Keith Allen Charles, 35, of Stuart, one count each elude and burglary, March 28.
*Cassaundra Hope Cole, 33, of Cascade, one count each possess firearm while possess Schedule I or II drugs and possession of Schedule I or II drugs, April 25.
*Margaret Carol Anderson, 59, of Cana, make false statement on a firearm transfer form, Feb. 15.
*David Howard Childress, III, 27, of Stuart, four counts of abduction, two counts of rape, and one count of stalking, between May 23, 2020, and May 1, 2022.
*Roger James Dulaney, 48, of Woolwine, one count each child endangerment and contribute to delinquency, abuse of child, Jan. 1 through June 30.
*Wanda Dulaney, 48, of Woolwine, one count each child endangerment and contribute to delinquency, abuse of child, Jan. 1 through June 30.
*Travis Allen Pace, 44, of Martinsville, possess firearm by a violent felon, April 23.
*Michelle Dawn Willey, 49, of Stuart, possess Schedule I or II drugs, Jan. 24.
