Things are getting really close to home when you hear of giant, giant, giant drug busts just a stone’s throw away. About 50 miles from my home was a drug bust involving three people and all of them were over the age of 55. They had a kilogram of Fentanyl and news says that is enough to “KILL” 500,000 people. Yes I said a half million people. The woman in the group was 65 years old that is my age. Momma Said, “What is wrong with people when money means more than half a million lives?”
And on the news this week I also heard of a big drug seizure at the Mexico border of Rainbow Fentanyl. It is multicolored pills that look like candy. For God’s sake we have enough children dying in this country we don’t need them to mistake this poison for candy. I don’t understand the mentality of the people who make this stuff. All you have to do is touch Fentanyl and it can kill you.
How do the people that make this stuff stay alive? How do you make something and not touch it? All this stuff has to do is touch your skin or you breathe in some powder and you are dead. People that do this stuff are always “Chasing the Dragon.” All the highs they get after the first is just not the same and they continue to try and get that feeling one more time and it never comes.
I feel compassion for people hooked on this poison and pray to God that they wake up and see what they are doing to themselves and mainly their children. Babies being born hooked on this stuff and having to endure withdrawal at the age of one day old. Momma Said, “That should sound the alarm bells and wake up everyone with a substance abuse problem.” Seek help and save not only yourselves but maybe the world.
