MADISON — At a plea hearing in Boone Circuit Court on Friday, Julie Miller pleaded guilty to death of a child by parent, guardian or custodian. She was charged in April 2024 in death of her 14-year-old daughter, Kynnedi Miller. The plea was in lieu of a trial.
According to the terms of the plea agreement, Julie Miller is facing 15 years to life in prison and could be parole eligible in 15 years.
Julie Miller will have to register as a child abuse and neglect offender and must register three days after her release from incarceration. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2026, at 10 a.m.
Deputies were dispatched to a Boone County home on April 17, 2024, in relation to the cardiac arrest of Kyneddi Miller. Her mother was arrested and charged with child neglect, resulting in death the following day.
Jerry Stone and Donna Stone, the grandparents of Kynnedi Miller, were arrested in May of 2024 and charged with child neglect resulting in death.
The criminal complaints state the grandparents lived inside the Morrisvale home with the teen and her mother.
