Roanoke Valley Museum becomes the first to display “Ruth E. Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design” exhibition

“Ruth E. Carter: Afrofuturism in Costume Design” is part of a larger fashion-focused exhibition suite titled “Fashioning the Future.” It is comprised of five exhibitions featuring women artists, “Fashioning the Future” which spotlights storytelling, moment making and empowerment through fashion.
