Parsons, West Virginia – Mayor Dorothy Judy announced that the Grand
Marshal for the 2022 Christmas Parade will be Rebecca “Lynn” Lipscomb.
It is no surprise that Lipscomb’s favorite holiday is Christmas. She starts decorating the outside and inside of her home for Christmas in late October. She has hosted many house tours and has won numerous decorating contests. Her home is definitely a must see at Christmas time. Lipscomb has also been very active with the Parsons Christmas parades for the past several decades. She has served in different roles, but most notable is carrying the main banner down the city streets of Parsons officially kicking off the Christmas festivities.
“This position of Grand Marshal is traditionally reserved for individuals that have made a major impact in our community,” stated Mayor Judy. “This is why I felt it only fitting to honor Lynn Lipscomb during this year’s parade.”
The Frosty Christmas Parade, will be on Saturday evening, December 10 at
