Mrs. Lena Mae Inman Bowman, age 76 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy, NC. She was born in Patrick County on July 30, 1946, to the late John Everett Inman and Grace Collins Inman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward “Pete” Bowman; one granddaughter, Tosha Murphy; one brother, Lonnie Inman; one sister, Marie Reeves; and two sons-in-law, Jeff Parrish, and O.M. Rogers.
Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Amy Parrish of Stuart, Cletus Ann Rogers of Dry Pond, Glenda and Bill Beasley of Dry Pond; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Patty Bowman of Stuart, Jerry Bowman of Stuart, Donnie and Loretta Bowman of Bassett; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Peggy Richards, Margaret Ann Taylor both of Collinsville, Betty Shively of Ferrum; two brothers, John Inman, Leroy Inman both of Ferrum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart. Burial will follow in the Cassady Family Cemetery.
