The JV Cougars Baseball Team ended their winning season with a 10-2 win over Floyd, on Wednesday, May 11.
Lucas Taylor went 4 innings on the mound, striking out 8, walking 1, allowing 2 hits and 2 runs.
Noah Jessup pitched the 3 remaining innings, striking out 6, walking 0, allowing 0 hits and 0 runs. Jessup had 2 hits and Bubba Errichetti had 2 hits and 2 RBIs for the Cougars.
Easton Harris had 1 hit and 3 RBIs. Matthew Allen, Lucas Taylor, and Caleb Geiger had a hit each for the Cougars. Hunter Heath added 2 RBIs.
“It was a good way to end our season,” said Coach Donnie Rakes. “I felt like we had a pretty good year and improved and got better at baseball. Several of these kids will be key contributors to the program in the coming years.”
The JV team ended the season with a 14-5 record.
