Mr. Jimmy Wakley Phillips, age 54 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at his home. He was born in Martinsville on March 14, 1968. He was preceded in death by his father, Wakley Freddie Phillips. Jimmy was the owner/operator of Phillips Tractor Service in Vesta and was currently working at Prolam. He had also previously worked for Patrick County Public Schools as a bus driver and truly enjoyed driving the children. He was a member of Meadows of Dan Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed helping with “Pancake Days” every October. He loved to hunt and fish, and coach the youth, especially his son, Dylan.
Surviving is his son, Dylan Phillips of Meadows of Dan; his mother, Phyllis Thomas of Meadows of Dan; his stepmother, Linda Kay Phillips of Claudville; and a host of special friends.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:30 AM at the Lewis Family Cemetery on State Shed Rd., Meadows of Dan with Pastor Joe Young officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
