Mrs. Ida Louise Tatum Clark, age 96, of Critz, Virginia went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday morning, November 28, 2022, at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Critz, Virginia on September 12, 1926, to the late Robert Price Tatum and the late Nannie Cobb Tatum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Moir Clark; two children, George Henry Clark, Loretta Pannell; one grandson, Lynn Clark; two sisters, Lilly Tatum, Mary Tatum; four brothers, Sam Tatum, Joseph Tatum, Robert Tatum, Will Tatum; and a daughter-in-law, Jeannie Foddrell Clark. Mrs. Clark was a mother of the Tatum Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church. Ida will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to treasure the precious memories of Mrs. Clark are three sons and daughters-in-law, James Leonard Clark (Earlene) of Critz, Virginia, Melvin R. Clark (Nora) of Richmond, Texas, David Clark of Critz, Virginia; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, James Pannell; a host of special nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
A funeral service for Mrs. Clark will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 11:30 A.M. at Tatum Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Emmanuel Jessup presiding. The burial will immediately follow the funeral service in the church cemetery. A wake will be held thirty minutes prior to the funeral service at the church on Monday morning. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Clark may be made to the Tatum Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church, C/o Monica Hylton, 123 Buena Vista Road, Martinsville, VA 24112.
