Patrick County Girl Scouts met at Dominion Valley Park for their annual Spring Camporee Friday, April 22 through Sunday, April 24. The girls enjoyed the wonderful weather they had for the weekend. They worked on completing badges and journeys they had been working on this year.
They also celebrated Earth Day 2022 by planting a Dogwood tree that will grow and be enjoyed by all the visitors to Dominion Valley Park.
The scouts learned about building a fire, preparing for meals, hiking safety, putting up and taking down tents, cleaning up the park to make it safe and presentable for others, and many other useful outdoor needs.
Patrick County Girl Scouts thank Dominion Valley Park for allowing them to hold their camporees at such a safe and enjoyable place.
