Friday, June 3, 2022, Ella Mae Snedegar, more lovingly known as “Granny” gained her Heavenly wings and went to walk with the Angels. After a long and extended battle with Parkinson’s Dementia she passed peacefully in her sleep. Ella was 84. Born at Jacox, WV, on Jan. 19, 1938, she was the eldest daughter of the late George and Dorothy Boggs.
Ella was raised of the Methodist faith, but just enjoyed going to church to hear the word of God and her favorite hymns.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Darius Ray Snedegar; brother, Kenneth Eugene Boggs; and sisters, Helen Marie Coots and Norma Lee Clancy.
Her family was the love of her life. Following the loss of her husband, she started to drift away in memories. As her disease progressed, she became confused and forgetful. Spending time with her loved ones was precious.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Dreama Veltri (Steve) of Lewisburg; cherished granddaughter, Eugenia and the star in her eye, her great-granddaughter, Ellie Grace. She is also survived by her sister, Mary M. Loudermilk (Wallace) of Frankford; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Don La Vinge.
Graveside service was held Thursday, June 9, at the Morningside Cemetery, Renick, where Pastor Hat Defibaugh officiated.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Home Care Plus, Dr. Robert Olexo, Genesis Healthcare Staff and Nursing, friends and family, Greenbrier County EMS, caretakers, Patty Hill and Rachel Canfield and Richie Holliday and the staff of Morgan Funeral Home. May God Bless you all.
Online guestbook may be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
