Mr. B. David Wilson, age 85 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on May 3, 1937, to the late Sam Pete Wilson and Gladys Lawson Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Wilson Bouldin; and three brothers, A.J., Cecil, and Lonzie Wilson. David never met a stranger and was a longtime member of Critz Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He loved all sports, especially golf, which was his true love. His love of sports was passed to his sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. When not involved in sports, he was watching, refereeing, umpiring, or coaching. He was an Independent dealer and repairman for nail tools.
Surviving is his loving wife of 64 years, Rebecca “Becky” Hill Wilson of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Wanda Wilson, Roger and Leigh Wilson all of Stuart; four grandchildren, Erin Leigh Wilson of Charlotte, NC, Megan W. Conner and husband, Leith of Stuart, Tyler Keith Wilson and wife, Laura of Acworth, GA, Haleigh Rebecca Wood and husband, Colton of San Diego, CA; nine great grandchildren, Declan, Braelyn, Liam, Roman, Eva, Annaleigh, Aleaha, Conley, and Roan; one sister, Patsy Wilson of Ridgeway; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Monday, September 5, 2022, at 10 AM at the Tudor Family Cemetery with Pastor Allan Vass officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
