CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — As warmer weather gradually becomes more common with summer approaching, West Virginia’s outdoor recreation industry is getting ready for summer.
Among the long list of outdoor activities that are available in the state, one of the most sought after is whitewater rafting.
Cheat River Outfitters in Albright, Preston County, is a whitewater rafting company that offers several other outdoor opportunities as well.
“We run a section of the Cheat River that’s called the Cheat Narrows. It’s a class 2 and 3 section of river. … There’s definitely some real whitewater out there, but nothing too huge, so it’s suitable for families, first-timers.
