Tony Javan BoardleyTony Javan Boardley died at Montefiore Medical Center on February 11, 2021 in Bronx, New York, due to complications following kidney failure. He was 63 years old.

Mr. Boardley was born on July 21, 1957 in Buchanan to Andrew and Jeanetta Boardley. He was a police officer (Badge 9117) for the New York City Police Department, Precinct 34, Washington Heights, and retired in 1993.

Mr. Boardley is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Alexandra and Sean Schrecengost; his grandchildren, Rome and Troy; as well as his father and stepmother, Andrew and Anne Boardley; his sister, Gretta; his two brothers, Andrew and David; and two half-sisters, LeLeta and LaTonya Boardley.

A private family farewell took place on February 10, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please donate to NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund (LDF).
