Patrick County Administrator Geri Hazelwood resigned from her post effective March 1.
Clayton Kendrick, chairman of the Patrick County Board of Supervisors, said he received the news in a letter from Hazelwood on Monday, March 6.
Kendrick said that Hazelwood wrote she planned to spend some time evaluating her career and exploring new opportunities.
Hazelwood wrote that she has “both professionally and personally” found the job rewarding, Kendrick said.
