Virginia State Parks were “built to last” in 1936 by the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps). Fairy Stone State Park, just off Virginia 57, is one of these original Virginia State Parks. Shelter #2 is an historic Rock Shelter in the park.

There, the American Music Series of Reynolds Homestead will present three free concerts for the community and park campers during the summer months.

The park charges a $5 per car parking fee but the concerts at Shelter #2 are free. Dates and times are listed below:

May 25, Saturday at 7 p.m.

Mason Via and Friends – Mason Via is a talented young musician/singer/songwriter from Danbury, N.C. Via’s lyrics are considered by many to be the driving force behind his band’s music, and his vocals back up the deep emotion that his lyrics possess.

July 6, Saturday at 7 p.m.

The F.A.R.M. T.E.A.M. – The F.A.R.M.  T.E.A.M. is an acronym for the Free Alliance of Recalcitrant Musicians Totally Eclectic About Music. Enthusiastic T.E.A.M. members all live in Patrick County, VA and include Mary Jo & Charlie Leet and Gayle & Rory McTighe playing and singing songs you will remember.
