The Mountain East Conference announces its first Acrobatics & Tumbling All-MEC teams along with its top honors for the 2019 season. The student-athletes were presented their awards at the inaugural MEC Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship this past weekend at Fairmont StateUniversity.

Kenzie Kyle, a sophomore base at West Liberty was named to the All-MEC second team.  She was one of the busiest Hilltoppers this season. A key figure in every Acro and Pyramid event, her specialty skills in basing helped West Liberty consistently improve its scoring in those events over the course of the year.

Kelsey Kyle, a senior base at Fairmont State University was named the Specialist of the Year for her efforts. She serves as a base during competitions, including Pyramid, where she has helped Fairmont State post a perfect score of 10.0 in five different meets this year. Kyle helped Fairmont State average a 9.77 in the inversion pyramid, and a 9.98 in the open pyramid this…
