As long as Gennifer Miller is the Principal, it can never be said that school is boring. Students agreed that her idea of a field day this year was “rad” and “high key.”


On Tuesday, May 15, students from the Craig County Middle School flooded the Fairgrounds to enjoy a multitude of games from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The high school students enjoyed their field day on the following Monday.

“This was an end of the year celebration for the students to enjoy after all the hard work they put in during the school year,” John Looney, a teacher and organizer, said.

It was apparent to the eye and ears that students were totally enjoying their day of activities which included football, basketball drills, corn hole, badminton and kickball. Because the students had to wait in long lines, the inflatables and the rock wall proved to be a consensus favorite.

Many students also enjoyed the photo booth as several of them made creative faces and gestures to add flair to their poses.

Adding to the fun of the high school students, an obstacle course and bull riding machine were also available. Several students had high hopes of staying on the bull…
